Fishing
The river Ljøra offers fish like grayling and trout in a beautiful river environment.
Ljøra has a rumour that's its the best river to fish at in the east parts of Norway.
The river fits good for people who fly fish, worms and spinners.
Ljøra is a medium sized river thats located east in Trysil county.
You can catch grayling and throut in the river.
The river also has a nice current and is decently shallow.
Futher east the river changes character and becomes wider and deeper with more calm currents.
Ljøra has over many years had a good resume of being a good fly fishing river, especially by sports fishers!
Ljøra also has multiple interesting connecting rivers like Drevja and Bergåa.
A good combination is to combine the fishing trip with a canoe trip.
Theres good possibilities for fishing from the canoe and adding in stops on the way.
You can rent canoes from Fulufjellet, see our page about renting one here!

In the far north of the river you can find a lot of small grayling.
After a while the river gets wider, deeper and more calm.
At deeper parts of the river the chance of getting bigger throat and grayling increases.
- Fv 570 follows Ljøra throughout Ljørdalen as a whole and gives good accessability with a lot of fishing spots.
- A good start is to park at Ljøratunet and moving down the river.
